We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team based in Gurgaon. This leadership role requires an individual with extensive experience in managing engineering architecture, delivering high-quality AI-driven products, and working closely with enterprise clients. The Director of Engineering will play a key role in expanding Awareye’s engineering capabilities, particularly in the domain of Vision AI, ensuring the scalability and success of our AI-powered multi-camera solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers working on AI-driven vision technologies. Create an environment of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Enterprise Client Engagement: Collaborate with enterprise clients to understand their technical needs, propose solutions, and ensure the successful deployment of AI-driven systems.
- Engineering Architecture: Design and maintain scalable, robust engineering architectures that can support Awareye’s growth and integration with large-scale enterprise systems.
- AI and Vision Technologies: Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge Vision AI models across diverse applications such as real-time object detection, anomaly detection, and process automation.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with the founders, implementation partners, and business development teams to define technical requirements and ensure timely product delivery.
- Innovation and Scalability: Lead innovation efforts by integrating new AI technologies, refining existing solutions, and ensuring the scalability of systems as Awareye grows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (8+ years) leading engineering teams, particularly in AI or Vision AI technologies.
- Expertise in designing scalable, enterprise-level engineering architectures that can be deployed on-prem or on cloud.
- Hands-on with Pythonic frameworks, frontend technologies and containerization technologies (Kubernetes and Docker).
- Experience in managing enterprise clients and delivering complex enterprise-grade technology solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for driving technological innovation, particularly in the field of AI and vision systems.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with multi-camera AI systems and real-time video analytics.
- Background in working directly on projects that are client-facing and driven by hard deadlines.
- Strong understanding of cloud and on-premise deployment strategies for complex technology stacks.
